DAY 4 (Group D)
Today we will again focus on your priority sections from Group D. If you have more than one section in Group D, study the other section today. Since you completed one study cycle yesterday, you know the drill. We will do the same exercise today.
Remember; 10% of your time on Test Preparation, 50% of your time on the Practice Test, and 40% on Test Review. If you weren’t able to finish reviewing the test yesterday, review it now before going into the study materials. Again, don’t try to read everything today. Instead, spend your time understanding the materials and focusing your energy on just a few things.
After studying the materials, pick sections from Group D and/or Group C for today’s practice test. Spend as much time as you need on each question, and think thoroughly about your answer. Circle all of the questions that you find difficult during the test. Also circle the answers that you are unsure of.
After the practice test, take a five- to ten-minute break. Now check your answers against the correct answers and circle all of the questions you answered incorrectly. Review all of the questions and answers that you circled today. Again, these should include questions that you found difficult to answer and questions that you answered incorrectly. Review each one carefully and try to understand the explanation. Write down in your notebook anything that you learned while reviewing the test today.
Again, spend as much time as it takes for you to understand the questions and answers. If you have difficulty agreeing with a particular explanation, my advice is to simply accept the explanation and try to adapt to the logic behind it. It might not be the most logical answer to you, but it is the most logical answer according to the GMAT. That reason alone is enough for us to adapt to this logic. After your priority sections, quickly review the rest of the test.
Thought for Day 4.
Be strict about timing while you are taking the test, but take as much time as you need to understand the explanations later. Also be sure to stay well hydrated and eat healthily. Taking care of your mind and body can go a long way to help your concentration, focus and ensures that you perform better. Keep a large glass of water next to you at all times during your studies!
By the way, are you feeling proud of yourself? It’s already day 4, and you definitely should be!
